A Place to Belong: FAITH & ME & YOU

Hey there, guys and gals ! Fleur here, from Fleur on The Farm. If you’ve been following along, you know my world is all about natural goodness, the comforting scent of a handmade soap, and the buzz of happy bees around our sunflowers. But beyond the suds and the sunflowers, there's a core belief that guides everything I do here, both in my soap lab and in my life: Faith

In a world buzzing with likes, shares, and curated perfection, it's easy to feel the pressure to be something you're not. But that's just not me. When you connect with Fleur on The Farm, what you see is what you get. I’m transparent, I’m honest, and above all, I believe in lifting each other up.

No Phony Baloney Here! In December of 2024 my husband Scott, or Scoots in my cartoons, and I decided we needed to make a shift in our life, in our health and in our work lives. We watched people close to us leave in one form or another. Whether sickness, moving, etc and we made our decision that its our time. We read books on Boundaries, relationships..toxic or otherwise, we researched and researched and we started doing what was right for us! We made it our mission to fall in love with life and fall in love with each other daily! Its been a fun project but learning to balance was tricky after so long living out of balance...but here we are!

Natural Transparency I'd say is my word choice. I’m an open book, probably too much, depending who you ask. The difference now is I don't apologize for being me so when it comes to my bath and body line...You might ask me if a particular bath bomb will magically solve all your skin woes, or if a certain lotion is the holy grail for dryness. And my answer will always be the truth. If I don't think it's the right fit for your skin type, I'll tell you. My commitment is to your well-being, not just to a sale. It’s about building trust, one honest conversation at a time. With me...Fleur...its not just about Bath and Body, its also about connection. I want you to always feel like you have a place to belong because I know the feeling of not belonging.

I believe that true influence comes not from preaching, but from leading by example. If I’m passionate about something, you’ll see it in my actions, in the care I put into every single product, and in the joy I share when a new batch comes out perfectly. I want you to feel that passion, not be told what to believe. As Ralph Waldo Emerson wisely said, "What you are speaks so loudly, I cannot hear what you say."

The Ever-Evolving Me (And You!)

One of the most profound lessons I’ve learned on this journey is that we are all constantly evolving. The "me" you knew yesterday isn't necessarily the "me" who woke up with the sun this morning. Every day brings new experiences, new insights, and new opportunities for growth. We are human, after all, and with that comes the beautiful capacity for change, for learning, and for trying again and again.

This understanding has been particularly liberating for me. In the past, I sometimes felt like a doormat, letting others’ expectations or actions dictate my worth. But I've learned to recognize the signs, to protect my energy, and to gracefully let go of relationships that no longer serve my highest good. It’s not about judgment; it’s about self-preservation. Yet, despite those tough lessons, my heart remains open. I genuinely believe that everyone deserves the chance to make amends, to grow, to be better.

And let me be absolutely clear: you will never be an embarrassment in my circle. I don't care about race, color, age, or beliefs. My chickens certainly don't! The beauty of this world is its incredible diversity, and I celebrate every single one of you. My deepest desire is for everyone to feel included, seen, and valued.

A Heart That Cares (Maybe Too Much!)

I've always had a fierce sense of justice. It’s a part of who I am, woven into my very core. And because I care so deeply, I’ve had to learn how to protect my spirit from the constant onslaught of negativity. That’s why you won't find me glued to the news or spending much time on personal social media these days. Sometimes, caring too much means knowing when to step back for your own peace.

I've known the searing pain of being misunderstood, of having people leave my life without ever hearing my side of the story. That kind of hurt can steal months, even years, from your soul. But through that pain, I've found strength. I now understand that those who are meant to be in my life right now will be, and maybe some will return, and maybe some won’t. Regardless, I will never stop loving. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Love, for me, is the light I choose to fight with every single day.

My life hasn't been without its storms. I've been through literal floods and literal fires, experienced abuse and abandonment. These aren't easy things to talk about and I share them not for pity, but in the hope that my story might inspire you, might show you that resilience is possible, and that even from the ashes, beauty can rise. I’ve been disrespectful, and I’ve been disrespected. I am a work in progress, learning new lessons and making mistakes daily. Just like you, I am only human.

The Spark that Became Fleur on The Farm

When I first started dabbling in bath and body products, it was honestly just a distraction. My "monkey brain," as I like to call it, was running wild, needing something tangible, something creative to focus on. It wasn't just about making soap; it was about finding a little bit of peace amidst the chaos.

But then something incredible happened. As I poured my heart and soul into each batch, as I carefully chose every ingredient and perfected every scent, I realized that the passion and love I infused into my products were palpable. They weren't just soaps and lotions; they were expressions of joy, of care, of intention. And in return, creating them began to fill an empty place in my own soul. It was a beautiful, unexpected discovery.

You don't need to know every detail of my past, nor is it necessary for you to. What I want you to know is this: with Fleur on The Farm, I want you to feel inspired. I want to encourage you to step outside your comfort zone, to try new things, and to create beautiful new experiences in your own life.

I’ve journeyed to the darkest parts of my soul, faced doubts, and wrestled with fears. But through it all, I've always found the faith, the spark, the tiny flicker of hope to keep going another day. Why? Because I genuinely believe that my best years are still ahead of me. And I believe the same for you.

With Fleur I want the ones who don't belong to have somewhere to belong. Yes it’s not only Bath and Body Butter to me, it's a place to belong.

So, welcome to Fleur on The Farm. Thank you for being here, for being part of this journey, a journey we can take together and for letting me share a little bit of my heart with you.

Hugs from Fleur
